More Burnham Market Tang-Soo-Do Success

Reported by Miss Tasha Southerland (Head Instructor) Burnham Market Tang-Soo-Do recently attended the East Coast Martial Arts Academy Championships on the 15th of February. What a really great day it was, many outside clubs from all across the UK joined us to compete, our students made many new friends from different styles of martial arts. The day was a blast watching all the students compete in forms, weapons, sparring, creativity and little dragons swords and shields. As their instructor I am very proud of them all for taking part, looking around the room I saw smiling faces of extremely proud families. The students that attended the competition have come back this time with 10 gold medals, 7 silver medals, 8 bronze medals and 2 little dragons medals. Our team has grown greatly since the last local competition, time has gone by very quickly and I am proud to announce that we will have our first black belts testing as of next year. If you are looking for fun, sport, friendship and a want to become part of our team, please contact Tasha on 07769 849 712. We are currently offering 1 month of FREE TRIAL LESSONS !!!, come and have a go to see if Tang Soo is for you. We train in Burnham Market, North Creake and will soon be starting in Docking. Look out for us this year at the Burnham Carnival, Hunstanton Carnival and various other local events along the coast. Thank you from all of us at the club for the local support we’ve had since starting our...

Community Defibrillator for Burnham Market

An Automated External Defibrillator (AED) has now arrived and will soon be located outside of Sands Pharmacy for the use of both residents and visitors to Burnham Market. The AED will be installed in a purpose-built cabinet that will be accessible to all.  It can be used by anyone, irrespective of whether they have had any first aid training or not, as the machine will talk the user through the whole procedure. To access the device you will need to dial 999 and ask for the ambulance service. The operator will then ask for the phone number you are calling from and the location of the cabinet – Cabinet Number 949, Sands Pharmacy, 67 Market Place. The operator will then provide the access code and stay on the  line to guide you along with the instructions from the device itself. Thanks go to the Burnham’s Newsletter Trust for their generous donation of £2,748 to enable the purchase of the defibrillator for the community....
