Christmas Tree in Burnham Market

This year Burnham Market will host a Traditional Christmas Market from 4pm to 8pm on 23rd November to coincide with the Christmas Light Switch On.

The lights will be switched on this year by Norwich City Footballer Darren Huckerby!!!

Come along and bring the family to see Burnham Market lit up simultaneously with thousands of glittering lights illuminating the tress and shops round the village Greens.

This year, as well as the familiar tea-cup and saucer ride, and much anticipated visit from Father Christmas, there will be ‘Pin the Nose on the Reindeer’ and other children’s games. You can join the Burnham Market Primary School Christingle service which will take place in the Westgate Church followed by a candle-lit procession through the Market Place.

Listen to carol singing by the Burnham’s Benefice Church Choir and the Burnham Market Primary School Choir, Nelson’s Shantymen, a brass band and local live cover band whilst you stroll round the Fairstead Green, in front of Westgate Church, which will play host to over 25 art, craft and gift stalls also festively decorated with fairy lights. They will include fine contemporary jewellery, practical and beautiful ceramics, stylish soft furnishings, bags, clothes, photography, wooden kitchenware, artisan chocolates, Christmas cakes and gingerbread houses, Christmas wreaths and more…

and tuck into tasty treats from the ‘World Food’ stalls including Thai food, Indian snacks, Duck wraps, Crepes, Hog Roast, hot chocolate and traditional mulled wine and mince pies.

All donations from this event goes towards the event next year (and maintaining and putting up the lights) so the more you give the better it will be!
