Railway House is located on the outskirts of Burnham Market a 10 minute stroll through the village to The Hoste. An annexe to The Hoste, it ceased functioning as a railway station in 1957 when the old station house was converted into a small hotel.
Railway House now offers seven stylish bedrooms with en-suite shower rooms and a central, comfortable sitting room where guests can relax and walk out onto what was once the railway platform. All rooms feature statement wallpaper, sumptuous fabrics and luxurious bed linens and plump pillows with Arran aromatics toiletries. Each room has a flat screen TV and tea and coffee-making facilities to make you feel at home.
The location and railway memorabilia make this a unique place to stay.
Try this quirky hideaway if you’re looking for somewhere special to stay. An utterly romantic retreat for two, the Railway Carriage sits on the old railway tracks and boasts a copper sink, walk-in shower, luxurious fabrics and railway memorabilia. Access is via Railway House.
Guests staying at Railway House and Railway Carriage take breakfast at The Hoste, a short 10 minute walk away. Dinner can also be booked at the renowned two AA rosette Hoste restaurant.
